City Council Member Sukul Welcomes you.

You are now inside one of the oldest neighborhoods in all of Holidayopolis. This ancient place has existed since the beginnings of Diwali itself, a celebration which goes back thousands of years, all the way to 527 BC! It is said that 18 kings issued a proclamation that lamps be lit in remembrance of the “great light, also known as Mahavira. “

Since that proclamation, those whose ancestors came from India have lit lamps called Diyas to celebrate good over evil, knowledge over ignorance, and the spiritual triumph of light over darkness. We welcome you to light your Diya, and remember, we are always jolly because it is always Diwali in Diwaliwood!
