MEET THE ARTIST

Kerry Wilkerson

Kerry Wilkerson retired from the United States Army Chorus in July of 2018. Prior to joining the Army in 1998, he was a member of the United States Air Force Singing Sergeants from 1989-1998. In addition, Kerry sang with the critically acclaimed Robert Shaw Festival Singers at Carnegie Hall on several occasions as well as his summer institute. Kerry is well known to Washington, DC audiences through his solo recitals and regular guest appearances with choruses and orchestras such as the Händel Choir of Baltimore, the National Philharmonic Orchestra, City Choir of Washington, Choralis, and the Oratorio Society of Virginia. He made his Carnegie Hall debut in June of 2017, as baritone soloist in Vaughan Williams’ Sancta Civitas, presented by Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY).

Kerry is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (B.M.) and George Mason University (M.A.)
