Ms. Transtrom owns & operates LaVoce Studios, a multi-teacher voice, acting, & piano studio based in northern Virginia. An experienced performer and voice teacher herself, Transtrom’s students–both pros and school-age–perform on local, regional, and national stages. Regulars in vocal & acting competitions, her students have been featured as soloists at the Kennedy Center and many other venues. Frequently heard as leads and supporting leads in elementary, middle-school, high-school, & college musicals & community theatre, they are featured soloists in school concerts and religious services. Students are going on to Eastman School of Music, Penn State, James Madison University, Stanford, William and Mary, Harvard, Coastal Carolina, and Berklee College of Music, among many others. Ms. Transtrom received her Bachelor’s and Master’s in music & English education & religion.
