Feeling and Healing — The Art of the Spiritual

In this two-part interactive class, you will learn to sing spirituals in a safe, nurturing space and learn the important history behind this art form, team-taught by Dr. Bianca Jackson, Professor Greg Gardner, and Broadway and recording artist Roosevelt Credit, with Beth Falcone accompanying on the piano. Week one, May 1st, will focus on becoming familiar with the history, and week 2, May 8th will be more hands-on singing, though singing will be a part of both classes. You may view the video of the first class another time if you are unable to be present at the first class; however, it is a prerequisite to have viewed the first video before attending the second class on May 8th.
