Family Reunion Dumplings

Ingredients
Dumpling Wrappers
2 cups all-purpose Flour
. cup water
*Or you can also buy them from Asian supermarkets
Filling
1 pound ground pork
Half finely chopped Napa cabbage
Seasoning
. cup finely chopped scallion
1 tablespoon finely chopped ginger
1 tablespoon sesame Oil
1 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoons cooking rice wine
1 teaspoon white pepper powder
Directions
- Combine all the seasoning in a small bowl
- Squeeze the cabbage with hands and keep the cabbage juice
- Combine the cabbage juice with the seasoning and set aside for 10 minutes
- Mix pork and Napa cabbage with the processed seasoning in a large bowl
until thoroughly combined
- Place a dumpling wrapper on a lightly floured work surface and wet the edge
with a little water
- Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the middle of a dumpling wrapper
and crimp it together forming small pleats to seal the dumpling
- Repeat with remaining dumpling wrappers and filling
- Put the dumplings in boiled water for 10 minutes and add some cold water
to boil for another 5 minutes.
