MEET THE ARTIST

Sri Nandamudi

Dr. Nandamudi is an Assistant Professor in Speech-Language Pathology in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the College of Health Professions, Grand Valley State University (GVSU), and specializes in voice, upper airways, and swallowing disorders. She is the director of GVSU’s Voice and Swallowing Lab. She also serves as a faculty adviser for the undergraduate chapter of GVSU NSSLHA (National Student Speech-Language and Hearing Association). Dr. Nandamudi completed her PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a primary area in voice and speech science at Bowling Green State University. Her dissertation focused on the acoustics and aerodynamics of vocal vibrato in Western classical singing. She has over eight years of clinical-pedagogical experience working and collaborating with professional voice users on interprofessional voice intervention. Dr. Nandamudi collaborates with multiple healthcare disciplines to facilitate interprofessional education labs to develop client-family-centered dysphagia and voice intervention models as a part of the SLP graduate program curriculum. She serves in the Diversity Committee of Pan American Vocology Association (PAVA).
